- What are the three things you enjoyed learning about this week?
- Talk about where you are in your science project (kinetic machine) and how you are going to be successful.
- Talk about the Talent show our class is doing and how you plan to be a part of it.

The first thing I had fun learning about was how to draw illusions. I think it is really cool how shading and angles can make simple lines look as if it is right in your face, or it is as if you are looking down a hall way. The second thing I had fun learning about was the Aboriginal presentation about salmon. I knew most of the stuff from previous presentations but I still enjoyed it. My favourite part of the presentation was when she brought up the spirit bear because I have a really weird fascination with albinos. I never even knew that the reason why albinos' have red coloured eyes is because their eyes are translucent and the red colour is actually the colour of their blood vessels. The third thing I had fun learning about was the photo essays. I feel like I will enjoy making and looking at everyone else's photo essays because. I like stuff that has more visuals, other than just writing.

1. 3 things i learned this week. Were about the photo essay on children's rights. How some parts in the world today that some people make 8-15 years old are getting married . Today and might be even getting pregnant for there age. But the happy thing is that some women are protesting about this. That people are advocates about it. Art for how to make a vanishing point . And I added shaded in the middle to make it look likes its going on forever. The Aboriginal presentation was really informing about salmon . I thought I knew a lot about salmon but she broke the barrier for me and filled my head with knowledge I never knew before.

1a) 1 thing had fun learning was to make the rotocopters! I liked when it was flying in the air after we built it. We made it fly by throwing it in the air and the wings turn around and around. But we need some weight to bring it down so we have to put a pin at the bottom of the paper. The rotocopter flies because when the rotocopter falls, air pushes up against the wings bending the wings a little. The air pushes on the bended wings and the wings turn sideways and fly down slowly.

The 3 things I liked doing was the photo essay because my group and I head a good idea to do is free speech and child abuse. Jakob,Christian and I got the idea. The other thing i liked doing was the Aboriginal presentation because I found out some round rocks have crystals in side. Last but not least, is the French test review game because we get to act out the animal games. I am in the middle of the project I am going to finish it by going to Tom's house. On the talent show, my group and I are going to do a dance and the song is going to be "go down for real".

3 things I learned this week are how to do optical illusion. In art, I never knew how to do it until now and its a lot of fun. I also learned about the types of salmon and it is amazing. I love the way they celebrate the salmon day. I also learned a lot from the French test and I love French and how to learn to speak the language. and I am looking forward to more of it.

I had fun learning about was the rotocopters, the force of air makes the blades turn and the whole thing spins in circles and you have to throw them order for them to work. The second thing I had fun learning about was the vanishing point. All you have to do to make it is draw a circle and start drawing lines. The third thing I had fun learning about was the Aboriginal presentation about salmon and how people make smoked salmon and the Aboriginal people had a debate if this one fish should be considered apart of the salmon fish.

I had fun doing a activity that involves air resistance and learning that the rotocopters spin because how much wait they have or they won't spin they will just drag to the floor, I especially had the most fun making the rotocopters although I came in late so I couldn't make it, but it was fun racing and trying to get our rotocopters in the bowls. Optical illusions part 2 , during class time we've been learning how to make more illusion art , we made a checkered board with our first name/ initials in the middle and a circle with lines coming out of it. before recess we had another Aboriginal presenter come in and talk to us about salmon and I learned that 10 percent of the salmon population live in BC !

The first thing I had fun learning about was the roto-copters. It was really fun when we did the target practice and when the roto copter falls air pushes up against the blades bending them up a little ten it flie . Jenaya was the only one to it it into the jar in the centre . The second thing I had fun doing was the art its so cool how it confuses your brain and drawing it is even cooler. The third thing I had fun doing is photo essay. It looks so fun to do i'm looking forward to making it with my group.

I had fun making rotocopters. Rotocopter are small paper propellers. When you drop them they spin around. Depending on how you colour it on the propellers. When it spins, it pushes air down to hold it up. I also had fun learning how to draw cool optical illusions. The ones I learned are, the vanishing point, the rail road ect. Some of the one we draw really mess with your mind. The final thing I had fun doing is learning French animal names. We learn it in a fun way. We play a game where we have to act out an animal and the other people have to answer the question in french.

1. the Aboriginal presentation was really cool. I didn't know they died after they spawned. Don't really like to fish in my opinion I think fishing is cruel. But thats how people survived back then so people had to fish.

This week I liked the Aboriginal presentation about salmon. We learned about the different types of salmon, their life cycle, commercial fishing, and how they caught the salmon. We also learned about roto-copters. Roto-copters glide to the ground when you throw them. We had a fun contest and split into two groups. I didn't win, but it was still fun. When the roto-copter falls, air pushes up agents its blades, bending them up just a little. When air pushes upward on the slanted blade, some of that thrust becomes a sideways, or horizontal, push. We also had a French test on animals. I studied and I hope I did well. We had to match the french word with the english word/picture.

For the kinetic project, it is OK, but next time, you should plan ahead, so that you could create it better.

1 ) Three things I had fun doing this week was making rotocopters ! We also read a booklet about roto-copters . The booklet talked about how the rotocopter glides to the ground . When the roto-copter falls, air pushes up against the blades causing them to bend just a little . When the air pushes upward on the slanted blade , that thrust becomes a sideways or horizontal push and , we had a roto-copter contest ! We were divided into two groups and the point of the game is to throw the roto-copter onto a blanket , into a the learning journal basket , into a blue basket and into a cup . Onto the blanket is one point , into the basket is 2 points , into the learning journal basket is 3 points and into the cup is 4 points . We also learned another optical illusion called vanishing point . The illusion makes you think that a passage goes on forever ! We also learned about 5/6 types of salmon . The coho , sockeye , chinook , steelhead and the last one I can't remember but it is the smallest of the species .

I like the rotocopters experiment because the copters where fun because it had colours because it shows like a rainbow and its a very fun project because we play a game how it works the air push it up and gravity helps it glide .

1. I had fun learning about the rotocopter to make it fly. You have to thow it like a baseball with a paper clip at the bottom and through it. I also had fun doing the residential school it was fun doing it but it was weird that they had to milk the cow for a job. But I get if they want to learn how to do it but for a job every day is weird. I also liked the photo essay we are doing it is very cool how we are doing it on human rights I think it is very cool that we are doing it on the ipads for a slide show.

1 This week I enjoyed doing the rotocopter the copter are a paper helicopter . So how does it work so there two blade have the same push, but the in opposite thrusts work together to cause the toy to spin. Also I enjoy doing the french test I think I got a good mark because I study really hard. And I enjoyed watching the A.B presentation so this teacher came in and talk about salmon in my head i was like I know salmon already! But after the presentation i learn lots of thing like there a salmon that some people it not a salmon because when it lay egg it still live but when a salmon lay egg it die after.

I had fun learning about the Aboriginal presentation and I liked how she showed us what kind of salmon there is. I learned that when salmon lays their eggs, they die. People also argue over whether trout is a type of salmon, because trouts survive even after they lay their eggs. I also learned how to draw a vanishing point in art. It tricks your brain!
