The Eiffel Tour is over 300 meters tall. (Its is pretty much as tall as an 81 storey building.) When it was completed at the end of the 19th century it was twice as high as the Washington Monument at the time the tallest strcture in the world.

The Eiffel Tower is one of the best sights in Paris and shouldn't be missed. The gold lighting highlights the steelwork in a way that is missed in daylight. Maximum sway at top caused by wind is 12cm.

Eiffel Tower: Since the construction is very high,it is actually painted in 3 different shades of color. The darkest tone is used at the bottom of the building and the brightest at the top. The tower is covered with 60 tons of paint every 7 years to protect against corrosion.
